RURAL HOSPITAL DOCTOR
Gore Health operates a rural 20 bed hospital with 24/7 Emergency Department services and also independent GP and Dental surgeries. We offer the opportunity to lead a balanced lifestyle and be immersed in a rural community and its culture.

We are also only an hour away from the sea and the attractions of the southern coast and Stewart Island. Gore Health has a very innovative approach to health service delivery and workforce development and has introduced several exciting initiatives to integrate into our service delivery and workforce development. These include trialling healthcare robotics, utilising AgilityTRx (a mobile technological workforce and patient scheduling system) in the community and we have very successfully piloted the role of Physician Assistant in our Emergency Department. We are also currently introducing telehealth technology and have implemented electronic patient records.
We have a vacancy at Gore Hospital for a Medical Officer who is passionate about medicine, has a great sense of humour and is confident in working in both Emergency Medicine and Rural Hospital Medicine. The role combines inpatient management, including medical and rehabilitation care and 24/7 emergency care with minimal on-call.
