Detail information about job Project Engineer – Water Metering. Terms and conditions vacancy
Key role in project roll-out!
E te tini, e te rahi – aro mai ki tēnei kaupapa
We have a brand new role to fill and we need a switched-on person with a mix of excellent people skills and technical proficiency (or the ability to learn new concepts quickly)!
In this pivotal role, you will be our key person as we move through the process of preparing for, rolling out and then overseeing our water metering project here in the Masterton region.
You will be proficient at problem-solving, managing priorities under pressure, and great at trouble-shooting and thinking on their feet.
You will be especially good at dealing with people in their many moods and situations because of your focus on keeping customer satisfaction levels high while balancing the needs to get the job done. Because you are resilient and great at rapport-building, you will enjoy the regular people contact (and possibly contact with their dogs too!)
While you will have a team working around you, much of this role will require you to take responsibility with little supervision but within specified guidelines and timetables.
Sure there are always those routine tasks that have to be completed but each day will be unique in some way and, by its very nature, this job will challenge you with its variety.
To do this job, it would be really beneficial to have a qualification or experience in the area of water reticulation networks. We will also consider people with an interest in, and ability to develop skills, in this field.
If you have a passion for the Masterton community, spending a fair amount of your working day outdoors, and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you. You can contact Vicki McLachlan, Human Resources Manager, for a confidential chat on 06 3706267 or 027 5793233, or send us your application (CV and covering letter) today to [email protected]
Applications close at 5pm on Friday 20 July 2018 and applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.
Masterton District Council has a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity.
