We're on the hunt for responsible, fun and outgoing individuals to keep things at our Aquatic facilities running smoothly. We have a vacancy for a full-time Aquatics Team Leader and part-time Lifeguards. Try out something new and see where it goes.

Aquatics Team Leader - Ref 005

• Lead a team of lifeguards (lifeguard training and qualification provided if necessary)

Want to grow your leadership skills, help keep people safe in the water and have a good time with a fun team?

If you've already got some leadership experience, why not look at leading our team of lifeguards and being in charge of what's happening at the pool?

Your team leadership experience doesn't have to be in lifeguarding or even at a pool because you'll get full training. This only takes a few days and you get qualifications in lifeguarding and first aid.

While you do need to be able to swim and pass a water competency test, we don't expect you to be a swimming superstar. The most important things we need are your leadership skills, your desire to help people, your practicality, and your ability to be assertive when it counts. There's a drug and alcohol test, but don't panic - it's just part of the process.

This is a great chance to try something new and different and build on some of the skills you already have. You'll be able to see the value of the work you've done, whether it's to help a member of the public feel comfortable in the pool or a team member gain confidence.

Lifeguards - Ref 007

• Gain a lifeguarding qualification

We're looking for two Lifeguards to keep an eye on everyone at our Coastlands Aquatic Centre and our Otaki pool. You'll get full training, which only takes a few days, and you'll get qualifications in lifeguarding and first aid so you don't need to know what to do before you join us

While you do need to be able to swim and pass a water competency test, we don't expect you to be a swimming superstar. The most important things we need from you are your people skills, your ability to take charge and be assertive when it counts as well as your sense of fun. of the process.
