The National Institute for Health Innovation (NIHI) is a leading New Zealand institute that has as its focus the discovery, development, testing and delivery of innovative approaches to preventing disease, improving people's health, reducing health inequities and enabling the delivery of more effective and equitable healthcare in New Zealand and overseas. NIHI is managed by Auckland UniServices Ltd, the largest research and development company in the Southern Hemisphere, and a wholly owned arm of The University of Auckland.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Social Media Manager to develop, administer, monitor and report on our social media accounts. This is a new position that would suit somebody who thrives on having a busy and diverse portfolio. You should have a passion for all things social media, be confident in your knowledge base to advise on campaigns, help implement and also manage them thereafter where necessary. You will be responsible for advising on and creating original text and video content, managing posts, responding to followers, analysing and reporting on impact. You will manage our social media presence in a cohesive way to achieve our business goals. The right candidate will be proficient in social media management software and analytics packages including Facebook Insights.

As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express views creatively.

Experience managing culturally diverse campaigns would be an advantage.
