You will bring best practice processes to the management, planning, design and implementation of projects and programs using commercial acumen and expert project delivery capability.

Reporting to the Group Manager Network Development and Delivery, this position leads a small team to deliver Wellington Water's major large scale capital projects and programs through our consultancy and contractor network on time and on budget. Leading complex contract negotiation processes and ongoing contract management of major projects, you will ensure a robust project methodology is in place, projects are managed effectively and the community is fully engaged. Focusing on developing a positive and high performance team culture, you will support staff to work collaboratively with other teams and ensure strong integration across Wellington Water. You will develop strong relationships at community, stakeholder and executive levels.
You have proven leadership experience and a strong commercial edge to your career which will see you being a trusted adviser for and within Wellington Water. Being an exceptional negotiator, you possess a sound project management approach and the ability to manage projects of large scale or of high reputational risk. You are a strategic thinker with the ability to drive activity to achieve outcomes. You are known for your ability to add value outside of your own area of responsibility.
