As a principal engineer with a pedigree that demonstrates good University record and employment with global and National consultancies, you have gathered skills and confidence where doors can open in different scenarios.

First scenario: As a professional engineer you can step out of the corporate world and become your own boss and build up a practice. 

Second scenario: You could move to another Global player that incorporates where your strengths lie, continue to grow and deviate slightly in your function. 

The third scenario: Join a mid-tier or Boutique where your ability to deliver way above your colleagues will be noticed and earmarked for equity in the future.

The fourth scenario: One that comes about once every three years or so and lends itself to whom I would call a lucky visionary, entrepreneurial engineer who wants to run their own show but without having to start from the basement. A spring board into a consultancy that is already reputed and valued by 1st and 2nd tier developers.
