The System Design and Delivery (SDD) business group's aim is to provide, improve and maintain the land transport system to effectively enable transport services. Our focus is to design and deliver an integrated transport system for all New Zealanders.
The role
The purpose of this role is to provide technical advice and support to the System Design and System Delivery teams to ensure that that traffic and safety policies, procedures and standards which contribute to the New Zealand Transport Agency objective of delivering an integrated, safe, responsive and sustainable State Highway network are robustly developed, analysed and implemented.
What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Your Strong leadership experience with the specific experience on the development of design solutions in a large complex organization working with external parties.
- Proven record of working within transport network systems policy and standards environment.
- In depth experience in the Program Management and Quality Assurance field.
- Proven skill to provide strategic overview and detailed design review of proposed schemes and other safety and traffic engineering improvements
- A qualification, degree or technical diploma or equivalent in the area of highway or traffic engineering or a post graduate qualification.
