Civil Project Site Manager

Currently we are seeking a Site Manager to oversee the delivery of light Civil Construction and Infrastructure installations.
In this role you will report to the Project Manager, and be the owner of all site activity, tasked with general planning and organising, subcontractor management, achieving HSE objectives, quality assurance, and alignment to scope. You will be a key point of contact for the client, so it is important that you are able to champion their Health and Safety principles and initiatives, and deliver outcomes which exceed expectations.
In addition you should have:
- Excellent communication skills and be a natural leader, able to motivate and ensure the safety and efficiency of both internal employees and sub contractors.
- Experience in civil construction and infrastructure installations with some supervisory experience and a desire for a "hands on" leadership role.
- An excellent understanding of the critical value of HSE excellence, and be meticulous about ensuring best practice is followed, and HSE KPI's are set, monitored, and achieved.
- The ability to understand and interpret construction documents
- Computer literacy with the ability to compile daily project reports, record tool box meetings and maintain accurate dossiers.
- Good judgement and excellent problem solving skills with a proactive working style
- The ability to build outstanding working relationships with our customers and with your on-site team
- Hold a Full NZ Drivers Licence and should be willing to travel for work
- The ability to travel extensively to deliver project works throughout the upper North Island
