Your new company
You will be working for a renowned Government organisation as a Finance Officer. You will be supporting the Finance team in the day to day processing. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Wellington’s CBD.
Your new role
We are looking for a Finance Officer to come in and join this large Government organisation in a busy finance team. As the finance officer you will be supporting the Finance Manager with the day to day processing.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Process supplier invoices
- Payment runs
- Credit Card statements
- Supplier queries
- Purchase orders
- Banking
- Credit Control
- Assist/backup payroll
- Any ad hoc tasks
- accruals and bank sheet reconciliations
- Have an understanding of General Ledger
You will need to be an experienced Finance Officer who is flexible, adaptable and can work under pressure. This is a varied role with lots of challenges. You will need to have a high attention to detail and be a strong communicator

To be successful in this role, you must be hard working and resilient, a quick learner, and possess exceptional communication and customer service skills. This is a very fast paced and high volume role, so we need people of the utmost integrity who will not shy away from a challenge. It is important you also hold the below skills:
