Wellington based Main Contractor are now seeking to employ a Site Supervisor, preferably with the practical construction knowledge gained from completing a trade qualification to join their site supervision / management team. Delivering predominantly commercial construction projects, this is an opportunity to join a well-established Main Contractor with a proven reputation.
Reporting into the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of commercial construction projects, gaining experience in site supervision and aspects of project co-ordination that will provide the foundations for developing a career in project management. Core duties will include: managing relationships with subcontractors, ordering materials, co-ordinating with project Stakeholders and assisting Site Managers to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Key skills, qualifications required:
- Trade qualified in Carpentry preferred
- Circa 3- 4 years experience, preferably in commercial construction
- Effective communication skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to develop rapport with people
