Paramount Safety is one of New Zealand's leading PPE safety wholesalers, with key distribution partners nationwide. The opportunity has arisen for an experienced sales professional to focus on their existing distributor network, as well as to hunt for new business around the South Island.

 

This role will report through to the North Island based General Manager and will be focused on growing presence across both their distribution partners and end users.

 

In this role, you will be working very autonomously, so we are looking for a driven and self-motivated individual who can work alone. You will have a solid sales background in a business to business environment, and you will be comfortable with both pricing and forecasting. Your interest and knowledge of the South Island Safety Industry would be advantageous, although industry experience is not essential.

 

This role will involve:

  • Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Developing product and service solutions in accordance with the customer requirements
  • Submitting short and long range sales, call plans and budgets
  • Providing expertise in industry leading practices and continuously uncovering opportunities to add value
  • Conducting and organising, as appropriate, product training sessions

 

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Previous experience working in a sales representative, territory sales manager, business development manager or similar capacity
  • Understanding of the safety industry or a similar industry would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a variety of people at all levels
  • Exceptional relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
  • High level of trust, integrity and self-motivation is essential
