Detail information about job Account Manager. Terms and conditions vacancy

Fantastic opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with a talent for customer centric solution selling. Your key challenge is to deliver company revenue through new business development, account management and consulting to major players in the IT industry.  Working with the analysts and research team based in Auckland, you’ll be responsible for delivering commercial research and consulting solutions to new and existing clients. The ability to develop strong relationships cross functionally and at all levels of these organisations is critical.

You will have a strong knowledge of the New Zealand ICT market and be passionate about networking within it.  You’ll likely be tertiary qualified in IT or commerce and will be a confident and accomplished sales performer with a proven track record in solution selling.  You must be results orientated, tenacious and solutions focused.  Experience from the IT, research or related industries is preferable, however 'outside the square' candidates would also be of interest.

The role reports to the ANZ Sales Director and includes the following primary responsibilities:

  • Working closely with IDC NZ Research team to build and commercialise new research opportunities.
  • Managing existing clients and developing prospects.
  • Ability to constantly network throughout client companies, often within divisions that are 'unchartered territory', developing current relationships to yield access to future business opportunities.
  • Building and managing sales pipeline.
  • Accurately forecasting sales on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Interested individuals that meet the following minimum requirements are encouraged to apply:

  • Individuals with 5 years+ sales experience, background in ICT industry preferred.

  • Strong sales and relationship skills.
  • Experience of successfully selling to senior executives.
  • Familiarity with ICT technologies, providers and vendors.
  • Ability to build, manage and close sales pipeline.
  • Likely minimum university or college degree, BA, BSc or equivalent.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English.
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint intermediate level experience required.
  • A strong desire to succeed and the ability to work independently.
  • NZ citizen, permanent resident or with appropriate work visa.

This is a great opportunity to further develop your sales career, build your profile across the ICT industry and join a friendly team of sixteen, based in Auckland CBD. If you are interested, please send your resumé together with a covering letter describing why you believe you are suitably qualified for the role.

We review all resumés manually and you will only be contacted if your skills and experience meet the requirements of the role.
