You will be responsible for leading a high preforming team by determining and achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and market penetration for the New Zealand business.
You will develop brand strategy and assist the sales team promoting new business with existing and potential customers.
To be successful in this role you will have proven leadership skills and the ability to drive and motivate high preforming sales teams. You will have strong training, development and mentoring ability and be passionate about seeing others exceed targets.
DUTIES
- Actively communicate with the sales team regarding company services, new products, price movements, supply situation, etc.
- Determine all aspects of market positioning for products and services
- Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers
- Monitor the competition by gathering current market place information on pricing, products, new products, market activity and other competitor activities
- Lead, develop and maintain strong key corporate account contact and sales relationships
- Represent the business in New Zealand market industry forums
- Control the selection, direction, training and motivation of the sales team
- Set monthly, quarterly and annual targets for the sales team
- Establish and implement a brand strategy that ensures the growth of market share and fosters a strong brand reputation for quality, reliability and innovation
- Take a front-line roll in identifying opportunities to develop the business in NZ
- Ensure that pricing and margins are set to maximise profitability
- Prepare and maintain business plans
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in leading and mentoring a successful sales team
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced in training and mentoring
- Experience in determining and establishing brand strategy
- Experience in working in the distribution, importation, logistics, agutomotive or heavy machinery industries
