The Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) is the South Island’s largest membership business support agency – our aim is to help businesses to do business better by providing advice, advocacy, training, opportunities to network and access to latest thinking via a great range of events. The Chamber as an organisation, is totally committed to adding value to members and to our region.
As part of the membership team, the membership account manager is responsible for nurturing and developing member relationships and retention of membership through focused account management and engagement. You are tasked with identifying new member opportunities, qualifying leads and engaging members with other areas of The Chamber. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Chamber members in a role that is predominantly phone based, with face to face activity/meetings when required.
Your key responsibility include:
- Membership recruitment
- Membership retention
- Administration
To be a good fit for The Chamber and this role, you have a passion for building business relationships, a natural communicator, you maximise every opportunity and you’ll be a non-stop advocate for our members and their customer experience.
This is a great role for someone with a minimum of 5 years account management experience in preferably a B2B environment and experience working within a membership-based organisation is preferential, but not essential.
