The Opportunity

We’re on the hunt for an energetic and innovative Territory Sales Manager to join our successful sales team located in Auckland. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of tier one channel partners, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and promoting James Hardie products to grow and defend category share within the region.
  
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics for the region to capitalise on both short and long term growth opportunities.
  • Achieve key volume targets for penetration of new products and systems.
  • Develop and execute channel account plans which advance our competitive position, achieve mutual objectives and gain appreciation of the value provided by the James Hardie team.
  • Convert construction/building companies to composite or full wrap specification of James Hardie fibre cement products.
  • Work closely with key channel stakeholders to grow James Hardie penetration within a portfolio of both residential builders/developers and commercial contractors.
  • Drive segment aggregation events across key channel partners to influence and drive design change.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other sales leads to identify and target opportunities to grow JH volumes.  
About you
  
We are looking for someone that is hungry for success, confident in initiating and building customer relationships and able to articulate the value of James Hardie products and solutions.  You will have a proven track record in sales and business development within the building industry, thrive in a fast paced environment, be successful in achieving targets and have the ability to position James Hardie as a preferred supplier.

You will also have:
  • Strong commercial construction/building industry knowledge
  • Experience dealing with large accounts
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
  • Be comfortable with the changing demand of the market
  • Experience in pipeline management through to conversion
  • The ability to understand and align customers with the James Hardie value proposition  
Your ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and work in a fast paced, results driven environment will see your success in this role.
