Job tasks and responsibilities

Mayo Hardware is a successful privately owned Australian company that has enjoyed a reputation for quality and excellence in the distribution of Hardware, Leisure and Industrial products throughout Australia and overseas.

A position has become available to service the Hardware retail channel. Therefore we are searching for a self motivated and experienced sales person to meet our customer's needs. Ideally, the successful applicate will based Auckland and will be responsible for looking after our leading hardware customers throughout Auckland North and Northland

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate both a successful track record within retail sales and high level of merchandising standards.  The key responsibilities in the role include:

  • Maintaining regular call cycles
  • Conducting electronic vendor refilling.
  • Strong merchandising of all our Brands.
  • Delivering instore training.
  • Nurturing relationships to achieve excellent instore execution.
  • Exceed sales targets with the utilisation of professional selling and retail merchandising skills.

 

The position will report directly to the NZ Field Sales Manager. Ideally the successful candidate will:

  • Have at least 2-3 years related sales experience in retail Hardware
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Will be an enthusiastic self starter with a positive attitude
  • Need to demonstrate strong time management
  • Have the ability to achieve sales targets
  • Have strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Have proficient Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Understanding of retail industry (preferred)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications – Business (preferred)
