Farmquip is a Napier based business that specialises in manufacturing and supply of animal handling equipment and general farm supplies to the agricultural industry. We are a market leading, innovative firm with an increasing product range and a growing market.
We are currently looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join our team. Someone with an outstanding record in sales and exceptional customer service, preferably in the farming environment or with at least an understanding of on farm requirements. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building relationships and be motivated by making sales and achieving targets. You will be a self-starter who knows how to generate leads and chase down the opportunities. You will be supported by a Sales Team in Napier but you will be expected to run your territory autonomously, so the ability to work with a minimum of supervision is a must.
The Key functions of this role are;
- Direct on farm selling, advice, product demonstration and relationship building
- Maintaining and building relationships with rural retailers and providing sales support to them
- Proactively seeking new sales opportunities
- Key Account management at corporate farm level
- Attending Field Days
- Planning and implementing annual regional sales plans
- Building relationships with associated service organisations
- Becoming the face of Farmquip in the Upper North Island
Your territory will be the Upper NI (approx from Rotorua across to TeKuiti and North) so the ability to travel, with some nights away from home to be expected. We are flexible on the location of this role but preferably you will be located in the central Hamilton/BOP area.
A fully maintained company vehicle (Ford Ranger Ute) will be provided and an attractive salary package with incentive components will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
