Due to an internal move the role of Business Development Manager – Specialist Channels has become available in our NZ Head Office.  Your primary responsibility is to continue to drive growth within the specialist/alternate channels, as well as seek out new business opportunities for Kellogg to expand our physical availability.


This is a great career advancement opportunity for a self-motivated and pro-active Account Manager with Food Service experience or a Territory Manager looking to commence their career in Account Management.  The Specialist Channel is a high growth one for our business so this is your opportunity to make your mark!  You will develop relationships with a range of different customers and negotiate on deals and promotions.   

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiate and develop effective working relationships between Kellogg’s and the Distributor, Field Sales & Key Account teams to ensure support for the successful implementation of all marketing and customer promotional activity and to ensure alignment of business plans
  • Develop and implement a business plan for the respective channel which includes growth targets, trade spend and ROI calculations
  • Monitor & analysis of individual channel performance
  • Identification and recommendation to the Kellogg’s business on potential business expansion opportunities 

Skills, experience & attributes sought:

  • Tertiary qualified in Business, Sales or related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Food Service or Specialist channels would be highly advantageous
  • An extensive knowledge of the consumer packaged industry is a must
  • Business development & relationship management skills and a passion for is essential
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills and experience
  • Results driven with a high focus on operational customer excellence
