MercyAscot is seeking a Learning & Development specialist to build capability within the organisation through designing, developing and delivering learning solutions that meet the needs of the organisation. This will ensure all our staff are equipped with the full range of knowledge, skills and motivation they need to provide an excellent patient experience.

As the Learning and Development specialist you will:

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to influence and implement the MercyAscot learning strategy to support the business objectives.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition and People & Capability to develop talent management & career pathways strategies
  • Scope, develop, design, implement and deliver impactful learning solutions that help build a high-performing organisation.
  • Work with the L&D team to design and develop organisation-wide learning solutions
  • Provide strategic direction & ownership for the Learning Management System (LMS)

As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • Be passionate about learning and development and committed to empowering people through learning
  • You will have a thorough knowledge of effective learning and development methodologies
  • Have an in-depth of experience in learning development, delivery and evaluation having worked in similar roles.
  • Have strong influencing and relationship skills to engage stakeholder at all levels of the organisation
  • Have experience with an online Learning Management System (LMS) and be familiar with e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Strong abilities to design and deliver training programmes to a high quality, with excellent presentation and facilitation skills is fundamental.
  • Ideally you will have a graduate-level qualification in either Education, Learning Design or Education Technology.
