The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record, be competitive, have a good knowledge of Christchurch and the people who make up our dynamic city.
Most of all you will need to be prepared to go the extra mile to get the story that counts, be resilient and have the personality to work in a fast-paced newsroom - and be a team player.
Video experience would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will need to have a full New Zealand Driver's Licence.
