The purpose of the role is to organize and coordinate a program of projects which consists of a broad range of business and IT initiatives.

Providing strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. The role is to provide direction, leadership, business and technical expertise and by leading the application of project management disciplines throughout the business.

Description

• Apply Project Management disciplines across the business initiatives driving them to completion within schedule, budget and quality parameters

• Driving operational improvements through the implementation and maintenance of structured approach techniques

• Delivering business improvement through targeted internal KPI measurement and management

• Assisting initiative owners with clear definition and management of project schedule, budget and quality parameters

• Application of proven Software Development life-cycle (SDLC) methods and techniques to achieve successful project outcomes

• Implementation of optimisation methods, techniques and technology to maximise customer and carrier benefit in improving existing and delivering new business initiatives

• Advise cross-functional projects with strategic partners and stakeholders

• Provide timely and high quality service to customers that meet or exceeds the service promise

• Use excellent judgment and highly developed analytical skills to deliver high quality decisions support

Profile

• Proven Technology Project Management experience and understanding of the freight industry

• Experience leading complex multiple technology programs/projects utilizing Agile/Waterfall/SCRUM

• Excellent understanding of software development, integration, support standards, processes and tools

• Good track record of managing professional services, consulting or software development and integration projects

• Experience in budget management, analysis, measurement, and governance

• Experience in mentoring team members on Agile/SCRUM best practices

• End to end experience with large-scale systems development, RPA and process redesign efforts

• Leadership and command skills with a strong presence and the ability to "rally" a project team

• Experience of product implementation with clients (internal & external)

• Ability to understand technical systems documentation and interact with systems resources
