We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced System Support Specialist. With our ICT teams based across Auckland and Wellington we are open to which location it is based within. The role will require a Technical all-rounder and have a real focus on cloud and digital solutions.
Your Role:
As the Systems Support Specialist you will provide expert consultancy, guidance and support for our technical services. This includes the development, management, integration and support of our software applications. To do this you will need to partner closely with stakeholders (vendors, software suppliers and internal resources) to deliver quality outputs, which meet time and cost specifications.
You will provide objective technical designs, give feedback and impact assessments to internal and external teams, and oversee forward planning for technical services, including scheduling patch and upgrade requirements. You will also assist with solving technical issues, application maintenance and support activities. There is also the opportunity to manage small projects; developing timelines and monitoring and reporting on progress of these projects. You will provide advice and guidance across the systems development lifecycle, including completing development and test activities as required.
Your Skillset:
- Significant technical experience working in application or integration roles
- Some programming experience ideally in O365 and or Silverstripe
- Experience working in multi-vendor partnerships
- Experience leading small to medium sized digital projects
- Experience in cloud software and digital technologies
- Experience in writing technical specifications and designs
This an interesting time to join the team as we have a number of projects on the go such as implementing Office365, and implementing and upgrading Sharepoint online, so there will be huge variety and exposure across several projects.
