The Company:
One of the largest and most reputable organisation is on a journey to becoming a truly innovative, customer focussed, digital disrupter in its industry. They are currently undergoing a significant technology transformation of replacing several core systems and they are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join their QA team to build the automation test platform
The Role:
- create, maintain and lead the automation strategy within the organisation.
- Ensuring automation frameworks are fit for purpose, efficient, scalable and maintainable and are applicable to the organisation’s CI/CD strategy
- Creating appropriate reporting and dashboards to ensure high visibility of coverage, pass/fail metrics
- Ensuring that automation code is treated as production code and meets best practice
- Ensuring that automation assets are sharable across teams to enable re-usability and standardisation
What we want from you?
- Extensive experience across application development and technical testing with focus around API/webservices
- Experience developing an automation test strategy and tool selection
- Development experience with programming languages and concepts (ASP.Net, C#, Java, modern JavaScript front-end frameworks).
- Experience and knowledge of working in a CI/CD environment across multiple environments.
- Awareness of networks, performance and secure software coding practices
- Practical and current experience with a range of open source and commercial test automation technologies (e.g. Selenium WebDriver, Jasmine, Appium, Specflow, Cucumber, Test Complete, SOAPUI, JMeter) across modern front-end, back-end and Cloud environments.
