Engage and deliver superior technical support to over 900 users across NZ and Australia. Proven advanced knowledge of SCOM & SCCM is essential. Experience with Office 365 (Enterprise) and Skype for Business is highly desired, along with broad skills across Windows Server up to and including 2016, Active Directory, Exchange, Virtualisation, RDS, SQL, Lync/OCS. Knowledge of VMware ESX would be ideal. 
  
The Requirements
The successful candidate will be working in the Operations team consisting of a team leader, level three engineers, level two engineers and level one engineers. This team works closely and will support the Solutions Architecture team in both project execution and support.
 
You will have a mix of 70% BAU Support work and 30% Project based work so your technical skills will be well used not only in helping provide 24x7 systems availability but also in assisting in the design, construction, vetting, testing and roll-out of infrastructure enhancements or new implementations.
 
You will be regarded as a SME on Windows architecture and will have exceptional skills in refining operations using SCOM and sccm. you will take responsibility for mentoring, knowledge transfer and the skills enhancements for the company’s level 1 and level 2 highly skilled service desk engineers.
  
Based in Auckland's CBD in state of the art offices, this role will resonate with those experienced Level 3 Windows Engineers who want to apply their advanced technical and operational business acumen to solicit requirements from the business and construct solutions that overcome the roadblocks inhibiting growth and momentum.
  
Day to day you will ensure that the support functions meet the IS needs of group staff across both NZ and Australia. You will be actively involved with providing Level 3 Engineering support to the business however, our client is focused on finding someone who is a total team player that is comfortable providing all levels of support. There are no real lines of demarcation here, everyone helps each other out. 
 
This role is required to be specifically proficient in the Microsoft environment and being responsible for support and maintenance of Microsoft solutions to the servers, workstations, and notebooks of users, within the environment.
 
We are looking for proven level 3 Windows Engineering skills (supporting mission-critical systems) ensuring stable 24x7 platform stability and ensuring minimal downtime or service disruption occurs

The following skills are required; 
  • A team player – mentoring Level 1 and Level 2 Engineers
  • Business facing – excellent communications and interpersonal skills to engage with the business
  • Customer focussed and able to drive value through the Windows Engineering capabilities you have.
  • 5 + years’ commercial experience as a level 3 Windows Engineer providing service support across a similar sized organisation. 
  • Aptitude for creative solutions design and deployment. 
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft on-premise and cloud infrastructure including specifically O365 and Skype for Business.
The role will be based in Auckland, however, there will be some travel required to Australia therefore, it is seen mandatory that the successful candidate have unrestricted visa access to Australia.
