We are looking for a Senior Cloud Consultant role to provide Professional Services engagement to customers, enabling NZ businesses to succeed by demonstrating & delivering the power of Microsoft Azure, Azure Stack and Microsoft 365 underpinned by Umbrellar.   The Senior Cloud Consultant is the customer-facing technical resource ensuring that customers can successfully take advantage of the Microsoft Azure, Azure Stack and Microsoft 365 platforms.

This is an exciting role for an expert to lead and deliver professional services to empower our customers and transform their business!  Ideally, you are a proven senior consultant with a strong technical hands-on capability to design and deliver application migration, and deployments on Azure and Azure Stack!  This role requires proven Azureconsultative/technical sales experience.

In this role we ask you to;

• Drive industry engagement and evangelising thought leadership at key events
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing and Microsoft support resources to ensure customer proposals include technical solutions to accurately address customers’ requirements and ensure a successful deployment to the cloud
• Act as a senior technical advisor/presales resource to ensure customer proposals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs
• Create technical demonstrations of Microsoft (Azure, Azure Stack & Microsoft/Office 365) services showing the power of the Microsoft platform and the benefits it can provide to NZ businesses
• Ensure key technical guidance of cloud strategy to the market
• Support sales KPIs, as well as supporting/providing paid Professional Service engagement with customers and grow the competency of the team across Azure advanced workloads 
• The territory is NZ wide and domestic travel is expected from a central base in Auckland

Required technical skills include;

• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Azure platform and core services including Azure Active Directory.
• Experience in working with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and deployments.
• Strong PowerShell capability.
• Experience with implementing task/process automation.
• Understanding of Configuration Management tooling such as PowerShell DSC, Puppet, SaltStack.
• Technical experience in infrastructure deployment & support across private and public cloud, networking, virtualization, identity, security and storage. 
•  Understanding how to build and deploy resilient application architectures. 
•  Experience with Windows, Linux and OSS technologies.
