BITS Technology Group is a multi award winning Managed IT Services Provider and IT Consultancy Firm with clients both Australia wide and internationally. We are breaking the mould when it comes to IT outsourcing.

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to assist with the ongoing support, maintenance and customer relations for a key client. You will be assigned solely to this one client for 2.5 days each week, however will be a part of the BITS Team as a whole, supporting multiple other clients the other 2.5 days. You will be the sole IT representative at the Auckland office, working with this key clients staff. This role is as much about customer service and customer experience and communication as it is about technical ability. The position will entail a range of support and client liaison tasks, including working from both BITS Head Office and our clients offices. Your own car and license is a must!

Your Position:

·Client Support - supporting a variety of clients remotely from NZ office and onsite when required.

·Site Visits – you will be required to drive to each of the clients locations within your territory, on a rotating roster. Some national travel may occur.

·System Maintenance - be involved in ongoing system maintenance including patching, updates and remedial works.

·Self Motivated – Being the only member of the BITS Team in the NZ location will require autonomy - however you will be instrumental in building the presence in NZ.

·Work as part of a team as well as individually. Following directions strictly when unsupervised.

·Deliver cloud solutions and on premise solutions

·Ensure customers are satisfied with service delivery and SLA's are met. Communicating the status of requests and tickets in a friendly and comforting manner.

Technical Skills Required:

·Microsoft Windows Server

·Microsoft AD

·Windows Desktop

·MS Terminal Server/RDS

·Office 365 and Azure

·Virtual Machine Management - MS Hyper-V and VMWare

·Application Support such as MS Office, Practice Management packages, etc.

·Great understanding of Network Topology and varying network designs

·Router, Firewall and Switch configuration experience

·Logical problem solving skills

·Initiative to triage and discern the urgency of problems

·Ability to quickly learn new technologies

·Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role

·VOIP and SIP phone skills beneficial

Non-Technical Skills Required:

·Great communication skills, interpersonal skills and conversational skills - we differentiate ourselves with our clients by NOT being basement dwelling supernerds!

·Great personal presentation - all staff are expected to be extremely well presented to clients.

·Great customer service – this role is almost entirely customer facing and requires the successful applicant to represent BITS as a company and performance will be reviewed based as much upon technical work output as well as customer experience.

·Great documentation and writing skills - for both digital correspondence and documentation (for both internal and client facing tasks). This role will liaise largely with customer executive management.

·The ability to handle pressure and work in stressful situations.

·Ability to work and think for yourself - no hand holding

This position will be operating on NZ DST (8am-5pm) as this client has locations that will require support during these hours. This is a Full-Time role.
