We need you to lead the Platform Operations team, to provide strategic direction, design and architecture of infrastructure solutions and operational support for the delivery and operation of Paymark’s digital products.

Here's a snapshot of what you’ll be doing:

• Under the direction of the Digital Technology Manager, develop delivery infrastructure and operational strategies that align with enterprise architecture, solutions architecture and quality assurance, while remaining compliant and secure.
• Liaise closely with Paymark key clients and primary relationships to ensure that products and services developed reflect defined customer requirements or anticipated market needs and that regular updates are provided.
• Develop prototypes or other mechanisms to effectively demonstrate products and services.
• Apply continuous improvement to the development and configuration of infrastructure components
• Manage and improve infrastructure and application (platform) support models
• Lead and develop a skilled team of Platform Engineers and a Database Administrator.

Here’s what we need from you:

We’re looking for an experienced software development/systems/infrastructure engineer, who has a passion for and some experience with leading and developing a team. You’ll be a stand out communicator and someone that thinks “outside the box”. You’ll also have:

• Demonstrable experience with the software development life cycle, previous experience of cloud based platforms such as AWS including automation orchestration in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and knowledge of other web based and mobile technologies/platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Java Web Services platforms i.e.: Tomcat and working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking and server platforms.
• A good understanding of databases and database application frameworks, especially Oracle and SQL and competent with version control concepts.
• Competent with centralised configuration management technologies, such as Puppet or Chef, Ansible etc.
• Knowledge of development tools, automation, scripting and how these apply to the concepts of continuous integration/deployment/delivery and agile software development.
• Experience with using BASH and another interpreted language for automation such as Perl or Python.
