About the role:

As the Linux Platform Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing components of embedded Linux OSs for bespoke hardware. You will assist in creating robust, maintainable and extensible systems based on board support packages from the processor manufacturer, Linux community packages, and in-house development.  

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5 years+ developing for Linux OS, preferably on embedded systems
  • 5 years developing with C or C++ and Bash/ash shell scripting, preferably targeted at embedded platforms
  • Strong experience of low level (kernel) debugging
  • A good understanding of electronic hardware design
  • Experience with Qt or other similar application framework
  • Experience with developing software for Embedded Systems, ideally Embedded Linux.
