Barfoot & Thompson is a family owned company, which has been successfully selling real estate in Auckland since 1923.
Due to our continued success, we are currently seeking an experienced IT Service Desk User Support Analyst who can provide application support to our Auckland City team.
Reporting to the IT Manager, we seek someone who has previous experience in an IT help desk position with exceptional communication skills.
It will be your responsibility to help the team resolve technical problems they are having with their PCs, mobile devices, cloud and internal business applications, so the ability to communicate with others is essential. You retain the ownership of any issues from start to finish and you are empowered with system access to resolve these issues yourself.
The successful candidate will offer the following:
- Have 1 year experience as a help desk analyst or have super user status in a previous role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical with the ability to resolve IT problems
- Customer focused
- Have a strong organised and methodical approach to activities
- Analytical, Friendly, Hardworking, Positive
- Able to maintain confidentiality of resources and information
- Knowledge of the configuration and operation of PCs, mobile devices, Microsoft applications and operating systems
- Use telephone, email and remote desktop applications to provide application support to Barfoot & Thompson staff
- Resolve technical problems
- Listen effectively and give clear instructions to staff
- Record relevant call details in the Help Desk system
- Work with other members of the IT Team including suppliers to resolve complex technical problems
- Conduct software testing, PC / network troubleshooting as required
- Complete administration tasks as required
- Learn and maintain knowledge of Barfoot & Thompson computer and network systems including internal business applications, cloud applications, PCs & mobile devices
