IT Project Coordinator - 12 month fixed term - HIGHLY LIKELY TO EXTEND - fab, fast paced role!
NOTE: whilst the role is for an initial term of 12 months it is highly likely to extend out for another two years, as that's how long the project is anticipated to take to get to completion.

About the Organisation
The organisation is a high profile government agency who are in the midst of reviewing and enhancing their suite of complex IT systems. They have around 3,000 employees nationwide, and their offices are in central Wellington, very close to the railway station.
What the job is about:
The role has come about as the Project Manager has a BIG project on the go and they need the help of a highly-organised project support professional to help them.
Working for one Project Manager - one of the smartest and nicest you could hope to meet, by the way - you will be carrying out a full range of project support, coordination and monitoring. The role is based within a PMO and has a strong operations and planning focus.
This is not an administration focused role. So you WON'T be involved in managing diaries, making travel arrangements, taking minutes or meetings or anything like that.
They will make extensive use of your skills in the Microsoft suite, particularly in relation to Word and Excel.
This Project Manager is a high energy person who is juggling lots of deadlines. She needs someone who can work as a right-hand person to her. That means you need to be someone who can handle a busy, fast-paced situation and be highly organised and possess first class planning skills.
It is also important that you have worked in project co-ordination and support roles in the past, and that you are comfortable working in busy environment where there is a lot going on at any one time.
As mentioned, you will have the chance to work for one of the nicest project managers around, and will have the chance to be involved in an extensive programme of IT project change that will keep the organisation busy for years to come.
As a personality, you will be positive, proactive, highly organised and self-managing. A 'can do, will do' attitude is a must.
