The Opportunity
We are currently seeking Full Time Passenger Operators to join the existing team in Masterton and assist in the safe and punctual running of our services.
What the role involves
As a qualified Passenger Operator, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and friendly service to passengers - including; selling tickets, safe operation of train doors and dealing with customer queries and issues.
You will have:
- Customer service experience; with a strong focus on generating customer satisfaction.
- Experience of dealing with a broad range of the public.
- Effective communication - A high standard of literacy, both written and oral, is essential.
- Ability to take charge of situations and stay calm under pressure.
- High level of decision making skills.
- High level of resistance to stressful situations, and ability to handle those situations effectively.
- Confidence to work a busy train on your own when required.
To be successful, you must have:
- The right to work in New Zealand
- A full, clean, current N.Z. Driver's License
- A good grasp of Health and Safety awareness
- The ability to work shift work
