Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity established on 1 July 2017. The role of our new organization is to reduce unwanted fires, respond to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents, natural disasters and support increased community resilience.

We are seeking a suitably experienced candidate to fill the role of Business Service Coordinator. Supporting the Rural Business Support Manager, the primary focus of this role will be to support new initiatives that are being rolled out to our Fire and Emergency volunteers and fire forces. This role will provide administrative support as well as require the ability to build positive and trusting relationships in a time of substantial change, both with volunteers and our district teams.

As this role supports the lower southern region, the successful applicant must have the capacity to travel overnight throughout the rural districts within Southland and Otago.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has proven experience working collaboratively and building genuine relationships within an organization to achieve outcomes. Your ability to provide quality service to all customers, both internal and external will support your strong administrative skills.
