Administration and Operations Manager - Job brief

We are looking for an experienced administration and operations manager to plan and supervise daily support, operations and deadlines of our company and create the most efficient administrative and operations procedures.

Due to this being a newly created position, you will be responsible for creating systems and procedures to improve performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies.

This position is a hands-on as well as broad strategic, operational and administrative role reporting directly to the CEO. You will also be responsible for hiring and managing your team and creating a culture of excellence, hard work and accountability.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, lead and coordinate administrative and operational procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
  • Own customer experience from a delivery and service perspective including all associated performance metrics.
  • Develop and enhance a value based high-performance culture;
  • Create change momentum that delivers operational efficiencies and cost savings;
  • Recruit and train personnel and allocate responsibilities and office space
  • Assessing staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Monitor and ensure Individual and company goals and KPI’s are being met on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Ensure there is smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations
  • Create and manage schedules and deadlines for different departments

The successful candidate will demonstrate a track-record in senior operational leadership and administrative roles, where the achievement of improved performance, operational efficiencies and cost savings are key success factors. Your ability to think critically and make well-balanced, logical and reasoned decisions is key.

Given the backdrop of change, you will have experience leading teams and organisations through significant transformation. More broadly, you will be able to take a vision, idea or concept and translate it into specific operational plans, activities and actions and then integrating them across multiple functions.

 

Requirements

  • 5 + Proven experience as administration manager and or operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • A team player with outstanding leadership skills
  • Strong team leadership and management capabilities
  • Prior experience leading customer service and or customer experience
  • Detailed hands-on experience in building, executing and managing operational initiatives
