The Role
This role reports into the National Health and Safety Manager, providing administrative support to develop a proactive, safety focused culture where employees play an active role in the Health & Safety of the organization. You will work alongside the regional and senior leadership team to coordinate, implement and administer the H&S initiatives to ensure the workplace maintains the highest professional Health & Safety standards and complies with all relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
As this role has a national reach, you will be working with both regional and frontline operations staff to manage multiple key reports, as well as monitor and update policies to ensure they are up to date in the required systems. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the National H&S Manager in effectively communicating changes to policy, procedures and legislation to all staff;
- Providing advice and support for our H&S systems (Jobsafe and Radar);
- Compiling monthly national H&S reports in line with the reporting format;
- Assisting H&S Managers to identify relevant training needs and coordinate programs to meet these needs;
- Proactively recognising and implementing improvements to gaps in procedures.
Skills & Experience
You will ideally have 4 years + experience in an office environment providing support to either H&S or HR environments. You will have a high level of interpersonal skills and customer orientation, excellent attention to detail and the ability to influence outcomes with managers and staff at all levels. Being organised and keeping on top of all your duties to ensure timelines are met is a must.
Note: This is a fixed term contract until the end of June 2019.
