Private Secretary Administration – Hon Andrew Little

Ministerial Resourcing is looking for a Private Secretary (Administration) to provide high quality administration support to senior Labour Minister Hon Andrew Little. If you value teamwork and act with integrity this could be the position for you.

This position gives you the unique opportunity to provide quality support to Ministers and Ministerial offices. We require the very best of service, so it is essential that you are diplomatic, reliable and methodical in your approach to work.

These positions would suit candidates who have;

  • a proven history of achievement in the delivery of high quality services;
  • knowledge of, and experience working with, public sector requirements, processes, codes and guidelines;
  • well-developed verbal and written communication skills;
  • highly developed relationship management skills – successful candidates will have the proven ability to quickly establish, build and maintain effective working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders;
  • effective planning and co-ordination skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to competing and changing priorities;
  • strong attention to detail and the ability to take responsibility for completing tasks set; and
  • excellent judgement and critical thinking skills.

Day-to-day you will be supporting the Ministerial Office with administration, reception, and some communications processes. Duties may include tracking and drafting of correspondence, coordinating Ministers’ diaries and travel, liaising with the Minister’s out of Parliament office, receipt and processing of invitations, and providing administrative support to the wider office.  You will have the demonstrated ability to work well as a team player and collaboratively across teams. A flexible approach to work is valued, along with excellent communication skills.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity giving you an insight into the workings of the Executive Government.

  Please note: A requirement of this role is that you are able to hold a security clearance. There are certain criteria that must be met in this regard.
