SOUTH PACIFIC SEEDS seeks applications for the position of Field Agronomist in the Hawkes Bay area, to assist with the technical and practical support to our growers and ensuring quality, reliable vegetable seed production for our many international markets. Regular travel to our head office in Mid Canterbury will be required as part of this role!
We seek applications from suitably qualified persons to be part of the largest vegetable seed multiplier in Australasia.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
A degree in Agriculture or Applied Sciences along with practical experience in the following areas would be required:
- Plant Health, Seed Production, Seed harvesting and handling techniques
- Strong emphasis on technical service and willingness to take part in practical fieldwork
- Versatility with I.T and administration and record keeping ability
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Familiar with trial work and recording
