Queen Charlotte Apiculture is a small beekeeping business based in Blenheim / Picton and Marlborough Sounds.
We are a privately-operated business focused upon honey production and distribution looking for an experienced beekeeper to lead the business growth.
The role would start in August 2018.

Skills Required
• Hive manipulation and maintenance
• Re-queening
• Disease control
• Harvesting
• Movement of hives
We are seeking candidates that are / have:
• A good person??????????
• Minimum of 2 years commercial beekeeping experience
• A good knowledge of the yearly cycle of bees and the production of honey
• DECA qualification
• Able to work independently and away from home at times
• Strong, fit and healthy
• Be comfortable in a boat
• Hold a full clean driver’s license, preferably a class 2 license
• Be sober and drug-free and able to pass
a drugs test
• Applicants must not be allergic to bee
stings
