Veterinary Services (HB) Ltd operates clinics in the Hawkes Bay, Dannevirke and Wairarapa areas. The Hastings Clinic is looking to fill an exciting new position of Surgery and Hospital Nursing Team Leader. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the Hastings SA nursing hospital and surgical services.
Ideally we are looking for a highly motivated individual who possesses the following attributes;
- Proven leadership attributes that include being a good communicator and a team player.
- Strong clinical nursing experience and the ability to be flexible in the working environment.
- Shows respect and communicates effectively with both colleagues and clients.
- Able to impart knowledge on to less experienced members of the team and help them grow their skill base as nurses.
These attributes will enable the provision of clinical and professional support to the nursing team. In return the successful person will receive support from the Hastings Clinic Management, higher end remuneration and the ability to make positive changes to the nursing routines and standards.
Usually a standard 8 hour day is worked with a set roster being shared with other staff between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, and 8.00am to 4.30pm Saturday and Sunday. There is a requirement to be on-call as part of a shared roster.
Vet Services Hastings has 7 SA vets working in a busy clinic catering for all things small animals. Our work includes a high case load of orthopaedic cases (MMP cruciate surgery, complex fracture repair) as well as routine and non- routine soft tissue surgery. The clinic also has a special interest in canine reproduction. We are an accredited clinic and are dedicated to high clinical standards.
