Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering highly engaging and educational face-to-face and activity-based module workshops in both English and Māori Medium schools and kura.
  • Managing classroom activities to ensure content is learned in a memorable way
  • Keeping up to date with the programme technology used
  • Managing the equipment for each workshop, handling protocols, and resolving simple maintenance problems on the go
  • Being an outstanding programme ambassador – developing strong relationships with teachers, schools and their students / ākonga to ensure our programmes are rebooked

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Ability to engage and motivate ākonga through face-to-face workshops
  • Fluency in Te Reo Māori
  • Ability to quickly learn content with support from our team
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and phone manner
  • Comfortable delivering workshops in a variety of school and kura environments
  • Ability to work independently and plan and manage your time effectively
  • Highly-developed problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • A current full driver's licence with access to your own vehicle
  • A clean police record
  • A personal interest in digital technology and ability to learn basic coding, robotics, programming - with the knowledge (or desire) to learn tested technology (e.g. Mbots or Scratch for example)
