QualChem Products Limited, is a leading manufacturer of soaps and detergents in New Zealand. We currently have an opportunity for a Trainee Production Manager in our production/warehousing facility in Masterton. As a Trainee Production Manager you will be responsible for all areas of production. In addition, you will be a key figure in monitoring and improving the quality of our products, yield & uptime, lean implementation, equipment maintenance and upgrades, stock and inventory levels and ensuring the on time delivery of products to our customers.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you not only have a strong technical and production management background but also a dynamic personality with exceptional communication/relationship building abilities.
Key requirements of this role include, amongst other things:
Production planning skills
Plant maintenance experience
Good forklift skills
Implementation and maintenance SOP's
Implementation and maintenance of Lean
Relevant reporting
Ensure compliance documentation is maintained
All health and safety requirements are met
Continuous improvement across process
Out of the box, problem solving skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Self organisation, motivation and time management
