Driver and Warehouse Assistants
Do you want to part of a great team?
We are in search of an energetic, well-mannered person with great people skills to drive our truck and work in our warehouse sorting, filtering, moving and stacking and donated goods to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is physically capable of loading and unloading our truck and will bring his or her A game to the table to help us move our product efficiently and effectively through the supply chain.
What will you do?
Assist in all aspects of movement of donated goods through the supply chain;
including the collecting of donated products, receipting, sorting, stacking, storing, pricing and deliveries to/from the shops, community and Distribution Centre (DC)
Essential sills are looking for include:
- Physically fit and able to lift furniture and other goods.
- Full, clean driving license
- Ability to deal with members of the public in a confident and respectful manner
- Reliable, punctual, management skills
- Friendly, and personality with a sense of humour
- Able to work under the direction of others but uses initiative as required
- Ability to motivate and delegate tasks appropriate to others’ skill levels
- Good team player who can contribute to working environment
- Behaviour and actions are aligned to the Dove Hospice values
Preferred Skills we are looking for include:
- Previous experience in goods handling, collection and deliveries, warehousing tasks
- Experience working with volunteers
- Health and Safety experience/knowledge
- Electrical safety certificate
