This leading manufacturer in Manukau has been investing in the latest technology and is currently in the process of establishing operational efficiencies. With a high speed line, a focus on customer needs and continuously looking to deliver quality products, this is an exciting business to work for.
  
The role
  
What we are seeking is a people manager and an energetic individual with site management experience.  Reporting to the General Manager who is based overseas, you will be responsible for day to day production including staff and shifts, OHSE, continuous improvement, product quality and building relationships across the business and with customers. This is not an office bound role, you will be pro-active on the plant floor making sure that KPIs are met.
  
Skills and Attributes

• Significant experience gained in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Financial Management; cost, finance & budget performance (full P&L responsibility)
• Trade or tertiary qualified Engineer e.g Mechanical Engineer or similar
• Experience with OHSE, HACCP, GMP systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive and direct approach, you are a firm and fair leader
• Sound understanding of continuous improvement initiatives
• Able to lead a diverse team, be flexible and customer focused
