Our client
Our client is a highly successful auto recycling business with operations across New Zealand and Australia and a leading reputation. They have outperformed competitors and company expectations with impressive yearly results. An exciting opening has arisen for an Operations Manager to join their team and drive the set up and success of a new facility in Auckland.
Description
- Overall responsibility for initial site set up including infrastructure, systems and processes with guidance from the Managing Director
- Once set up and running, take full responsibility, reporting to the company's Managing Director, of this site, ensuring customer orders are processed within service level agreements and customer delivery policies
- Managing the Customer Service function and operation, including management of key personnel
- Overall responsibility for Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management policies and procedures
- Abiding by all legislative and chain of responsibility requirements
- Optimise stock through Inventory control and waste management policies
- Provide coaching and empowering leadership to the business
- Support the Managing Director to achieve quarterly budgets and performance goals
- Conduct inventory audits to help maximise company performance optimisation
- Internal and external stakeholder liaison to drive process improvement
- Liaise with the Production and Sales teams to help drive Customer Delivery
Profile
As an ideal applicant, you will have the following;
- Previous experience within a similar capacity, ideally within Manufacturing or Supply Chain and Logistics
- Excellent Customer Service appreciation and delivery
- A confident and professional communication style
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite skills
- Hardworking and ability to get involved with daily operations
- Outstanding organisation and planning skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Sound understanding of manufacturing and performance optimisation
- Strong levels of drive and enthusiasm
