The Cancer Society Auckland Division has a vacancy for a part time Store person. This role is 20 hours per week with additional hours required from time to time.
The main focus of the role is to maintain stores activities with particular emphasis on stock control, inwards and outwards goods and special events support and assistance. In addition this person manages room bookings, moving of furniture to set up for the public at Domain Lodge, and supports the Cancer Information Service with the distribution of material to a wide variety of people and organisations.
While stores and general operations experience is a must, to be successful for the role you must have strong communication skills both written and verbal, and be physically fit and strong as there will also be some heavy lifting involved. You will be in a very front line public role, which demands a high level of customer service knowledge and experience.
What We Are Looking For:
- A cheerful customer focussed person
- Good work ethic, with the ability to multi task and priorities
- Background in Inventory / stores experience
- Computer ability, i.e.competent with MS office & aptitude to learn and use others
- Comfortable with moving/lifting furniture, and helping users with computer and audio-visual equipment
- A good organiser, with excellent time management skills
- Able to offer some flexibility with working hours, with occasional after hours and weekend work required
- Someone who enjoys being part of a busy, progressive and successful team
