Machine Operator

Our Patiki Road Refuse Transfer Station are looking for a new Class 2 Machine Operator to join the team!

This position offers a varied role operating various plant and equipment (primarily Materials Handler, Wheeled Loader and Excavator). You will be responsible for sorting, loading and storing of refuse material in and around the transfer station whilst maintaining a safe working environment at all times. You will also be responsible for undertaking general labouring duties and ensuring the site is maintained at all times.

This is a full time role, working Wednesday - Saturday

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
o Full Class 2 license with W & T endorsements
o 2+ years' labouring experience or similar
o Previous machine operation experience
o Working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety, and importance of
o A hands on can do attitude, with the motivation to learn more
All new Operators will be given a full training, induction and assessment on our fleet.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Health Assessment (including drugs test) and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check the results of which must be to EnviroNZ's satisfaction.
