We are building our team with a newly created role which will both drive Suncorp’s Risk Reporting capabilities, and lead the business in setting and reporting Risk Appetite.  This highly visible role will provide independent advice, guidance and oversight for SNZ, and will be an important part of our linkage with Suncorp Group in Australia.  The role will work with colleagues to develop and deliver regular risk reporting and will act as a trusted advisor to the business in fulfilling its risk management obligations, setting risk appetite and as an advocate for increasingly robust risk maturity and culture.

In order to be successful in the role, we are looking for proven experience in the following:

• Outstanding written communication skills.  
• Excellent track record in managing stakeholder relationships. 
• Demonstrated understanding of financial services risk management frameworks and methodologies. 
• Leadership of risk reporting processes including qualitative and quantitative elements.
• Development and delivery of automated reporting solutions providing data rich insight in a Financial Services context. 
• Development and articulation of Risk Appetite materials along with matching reporting and business engagement.  
• Ability to take in large volumes of information, to identify and communicate key insight, and drive the “so-what?” discussion. 
• 10+ years’ experience within the risk or advisory profession which will include experience in Operational risk focused roles.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership/influencer role (either by influence or direct leadership of people).
