• 12 month fixed term contract
• Salary 80-90K +

The Company:
This well established business is one of the largest Forestry companies in New Zealand with 6 offices Nationwide.  They have a large export focus with a strong global presence and are currently seeking an Export Container Coordinator to manage the scheduling and logistics of container movements throughout New Zealand, Australia and a large state in the United States.

They are innovative in their approach, have an excellent culture throughout the business and pride themselves on their Health and Safety standards and looking after there staff.  
  
Duties include:  

• Develop and maintain solid working relationships with container shipping lines, negotiate freight rates and space.
• Coordinate, schedule and book export containers and shipping slots with shipping lines and suppliers in NZ, Au and US.
• Processing sales contracts, set up customer files and distribute sales contracts to agents and suppliers.
• Follow up Letter of Credits, ensuring these are in place prior to container packs, coordinate with Sales and the Export team
• Prepare lotting instructions and distribute with freight booking details to suppliers & log marshaller and packers
• Monitoring the packing & shipping of all containers ensuring each shipment has the correct documentation, managing shipment schedule changes, updating lotting instructions & distributing container schedule to sales agents and suppliers.

 Skills required: 

• 3+ years experience in container shipping or supply chain logistics 
• Exporting or Shipping experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills having the ability to establish effective working relationships
• Resilient, logical and organised with the ability to multi-task
• Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Excel skills, systems savvy
