Chemical Process Technicians - Morrinsville Waikato

Evonik Peroxide Ltd is part of an international industrial group with manufacturing and distribution units throughout the world.
Evonik is a recognised leader in specialty chemical applications.
Our unique New Zealand site manufactures Hydrogen Peroxide and is the only facility in NZ that does so.
Supplying products into the pulp and paper, mining, wool scouring and distributor channels along with other sectors.
The New Zealand plant prides itself in being a dynamic operation run by Chemical Process Technicians.
This is very much a focused team role that is responsible for running a complex Chemical production plant that is classified as a Major Hazard Facility under the new legislation Laws. This role will also require commitment to cover extra shifts if required. 24 hours, 7 days a week operations.

- Operations experience and/or sales at a technical level.
- Marketing qualities that support and understand mechanical and electrical processes.
- Chemistry and/or engineering / electrical tertiary qualifications or Trade certificate backgrounds.
- SAP and information systems experience
- Analytical and or quality systems conversant [ISO9002]
- Problem-solving ability along with great communication skills
- Passion with capacity and desire to learn.
- A good level of fitness is required as stair climbing and lifting is involved
- Sound level of computer literacy
- Confident with an ability to self-start
- Team focused and willing to work extra shifts if required.
- Experience in Safety requirements.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Be interested in possible travel
- A good sense of humour along with a very strong determination is essential to be successful in this role.
Duties are managed within a shared / rotational basis which includes the opportunity to work in a Business management role when not on shift. However Shift consists of running the complex Process Plant on a 12 hour rotation shift program.
You will need to demonstrate a mature attitude at all times and remain focused.
