About the business and the role

Addiction Pet Foods is a manufacturer of global pet food brands – Addiction and Wishbone. We operate New Zealand's largest dry pet food plant in Te Puke where we manufacture and export the highest quality pet foods in the world.  We are passionate about pets and "We go to the Ends of The Earth for your Pet" by only using the highest quality raw materials in the cleanest place in the world to produce pet food. 

We are seeking for a Production Worker who is responsible in ensuring that production quotas are met in a timely manner while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. He/ She is also responsible in keeping the production line as well as other areas of the site clean.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Works in the production line with consistent speed and accuracy

• Ensures that production requirements and standards are met consistently

• Makes every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality

• Operates machinery correctly and maintain it with care

• Reports any machinery issues to management

• Works cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals

• Maintains a clean and safe work area including entire site

• Observes all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management

• Follows all written and verbal instructions

• Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude

Skills and experience

• At least 2 years' experience in a food manufacturing preferred
• Must have cleaning experience and familiar with cleaning tools and equipment
• Good communication skills
• Comply with all safety guidelines at all times
• Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, cleaning and reaching
• Being able to work in a team and follow instructions
• Clear documentation skills
• Able to lift heavy boxes on a regular basis
• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
