The Company
  
This leading non-bank lender is currently looking for experienced credit professionals to join there rapidly growing team in the Sydney CBD. They have expanded into the New Zealand market in recent years and are now in need to bring on a compliance officer for operations there. Given the nature of the business, they looked to hire the higher skilled candidates in the market meaning you will be exposed to some of the best professionals in the market and expert management. The business is looking to rapidly grow in the next 12 months and have just moved into brand new offices with room to expand.
  
The Role
  
You will be based out of the Sydney office working on the compliance for the broker channel and the credit team for the New Zealand market. You will be working closely with management for policy changes and risk frameworks whilst being involved in the compliance for the end to end mortgage process. You will be familiar with New Zealand regulatory institutions and remain up to date with their legislation changes.
  
Duties

• Create and maintain the residential mortgage risk and compliance framework
• Undertake risk and compliance investigations where necessary
• Assist the business to remain up to date with all areas of New Zealand risk and compliance
• Develop and provide compliance training to the business
• Conduct a regular risk management certification process
• Monthly risk reporting
• Attend industry events
• Ad-Hoc duties

Skills and Experience

• 2+ years’ experience within some form of financial services compliance for the New Zealand market
• Law degree is preferred
• Very strong written and verbal communication as you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Good time management skills
• Excellent ability to problem solve and pick up new concepts quickly
